Eskom
ESKOM: Pollution and NON FEEDBACK

I have written to ESKOM 3 times and NO feedback inspite of asking. I have also filled in a contact form on the website - NO FEEDBACK!!

This is what I sent them:

I often drive past Grootvlei and have been doing so for a very extended period and upon every occasion, without fail, found that one stack at this facility is always emitting visibly. My understanding is that if the smoke that emanates from the stack is visible, then it would mean that the particulate emissions limit is probably being exceeded.

Could someone please explain to me why Eskom is doing this and polluting in this fashion. My take on this is that it is illegal?

I would like to know why this happens when our country has such exemplary environmental legislation and then the state owned entity seemingly does not comply?

Please will you give me some feedback on this matter?
