I have complaint at the Post Office, but was not satisfied with their response.
I am unhappy with the service I received. On 11/04/2013 I went to the Weltevreden Post Office in the Checker Hyper Centre. I claimed for a Lotto Plus ticket which won R 5031. First of all, the lady helping me was very very unprofessional and rude! Secondly, the cheque I received was an invalid cheque, because a signature was short on the cheque. This I only found out, after a week, when my bank put an RD on the cheque. When I contacted the Post Office, I was told to get the cheque back from the bank and return it to them, so they could give me another cheque. My problem is, I have to run around to rectify their mistake, and in the meantime it's costing me time and money. Everyone knows what the cost of petrol is these days, and what about the R90 charges on my bank for the RD cheque? And now I have to wait for another cheque, which is going to take another 7 days to clear. The Post Office has NO clue what customer services is. Their attitude makes you feel like they are doing you a big favour by just being there!
