POOR WORKMANSHIP SKYSITE &COMMITMENT NOT HONOURED

Towards the end of 2010 we hired John Graham, a registered building inspector, to inspect our building for any defects. Amongst other things, were our leaking gutters and John recommended that we use Skysite. John also gave us a guarantee that the gutters will be permanently fixed. Skysite completed the job at the beginning of 2011 but when it rained we noticed that the gutters were still leaking so contacted Skysite. Iain Watermeyer from Skysite sent Russel from their company to see to the problem but it was on going for some time. We then got in 2 roofing specialists at additional cost to ourselves and each of them said that the gutters were not cleaned prior to sealing and that the wrong material was used to seal the gutters but most importantly that the downpipes were all sealed. We then called for a meeting with Skysite. This was on 31 July 2012. At this meeting Iain said that they do not specialise in sealing of gutters and that he was not aware that the gutters were not cleaned prior to sealing nor that the downpipes were sealed. He also mentioned that he had not given us any guarantee but will see to it that the downpipes are cleared - SKYSITE NEVER HONOURED THIS!
