I had my younger sister register at this college for a pre-nursing certificate. It is supposedly a 3 month course which starts in February with a lump sum deposit of more than 80% and 3 equal payments per month there after, which includes uniform and other necessities. We paid the lump sum, about R4900, and we will be paying R500 per month for 3 months. On the 4th of February, when the classes were supposed to start, the students were told to come back on the 25th because of some admin matters. Apparently they have admitted a huge number of students than they are used to, and classes will run for only 3 hours this year to accomodate everrybody, that is, first. Group attends from 8:00 -11:30 and second class starts at 12:00- 15:30, inconvenience no. 1! Arriving on the 25th, the students are told they cannot start with classes before they get student cards and uniforms. So the process starts for students cards nd not yet for uniforms. February is almost over, nd they tell the students, the 1st R500 is due on 1st March! I mean what is the money for? Classes haven't even started yet! What are we really paying for?
