SANRAL is collapsing - eTolls are history

I spent 2 hours in the SANRAL shop in Sandton trying to sort my toll fees out. Happy to pay what I owe but not being ripped. The staff couldn't help me. They admitted that the system was faulty and they told me that SANRAL was only collecting money from REGISTERED users. They told me if I'm not tagged I will probably never have to pay! It's not worth their while to chase non registered motorists! I got the impression that this was inside knowledge and also that they didn't expect eTolls to be around in a years time. So until I get a proper invoice with proof (I KNOW for a fact some scumbucket has cloned my plates) of what I owe I'm not paying and I'm not giving SANRAL my bank details and joining the 1000's who have had money taken out of their account that was not due!
