Land Rover South Africa
Shocking service

Miscellaneous

The rear top brake light of my Land Rover Discovery blew off the vehicle while travelling at speed. I got a new brake light part from Land Rover, but they cannot install it themselves as it must be glued into position by a motor windscreen installers. I took the light, and had it installed by a reputable windscreen installer. After 3 months I noticed that the glue was failing and the brake light was starting to lift. So, when I went to Land Rover Cape Town (CMH) for a regular service, I asked them to have the light removed and professionally installed again. Several hours later, after not hearing from LR Cape Town, I called to find out about the vehicle. Nobody had any idea about my car, they could not find it on the lot. After numerous phone calls, they finally tracked it down as it had been sent to a windscreen installer to glue the light back on. When I got the car back, the light had not been removed & reinstalled, instead the light had been lifted up and more glue was simply squirted underneath. Now the light does not sit flush. I have contacted Land Rover 3 times, they said they would get back to me, but I have not heard a word and it is now 10 days later.
