Sabc Tv Licence
I have not had a TV in my name since 1997!

In 1997 I rented a TV from Teljoy for a year. I paid my license then and stopped once I returned the tv to Teljoy.

In 2009 I received a lawyers letter stating that I owe over R2500 in unpaid license fees. I got the required affidavits etc done to prove that I did not have the tv anymore. This was sent to the SABC and the law firm doing the collections. They were happy with what was submitted and I never heard from them again, till today.

I just received a sms from a different law firm stating that I now owe over R6500 for this very same TV license!!

I now need to start the process all over again to prove that I DO NOT have this TV!!! We have a TV at home but the license is in my husbands name!

It is infuriating that the SABC is so inefficient and that no one seems to be able to sort this out!
