Leisure Marine Boating
Boat contents pillaged!

I advertised to sell my boat on OLX and was contacted by Leisure Marine in Midrand, the gent said that they would take my boat to their showroom and sell it for me on commission. I took my boat there and received the necessary paperwork etc. After some time, 6 weeks and no action, I decided to collect my boat and try to sell it myself. When I collected the boat, it was filthy, (no idea how you could sell it like that), the tarp cover was off the motor and it was obvious it had been left in the sun. The tool box had been decimated, all the screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, spanners etc. were all gone, the first aid kit had been emptied and one of the batteries had been. The terminals of the battery had been left to touch the Ali deck and had burned out some of the wiring. I took the boat back and they replaced the battery and fixed the wiring but refused to entertain any discussion on the tools etc. I woould certainly not deal with them, would not buy a boat from them nor would I leave my boat with them to sell.
