Ratchet spanner replaced

In 1977 I bought a ratchet spanner set and have used it often. Some time ago the ratchet spanner started giving problems. I was then told that Gedore has a lifetime warranty on their products and when I looked at their website, and read their warranty policy which says: "Every Gedore tool is covered by a lifetime guarantee against defective material and workmanship. Provided that the tool has been used correctly for its intended purpose and allowances have been made for wear and tear, this guarantee will allow for the repair or exchange of the tool. While some deterioration through extensive use might be unavoidable, we will adopt a generous approach when viewing warranty claims." I returned the ratchet spanner today. Bongani took one look at it, went to the storeroom and returned with a brand-new spanner. No questions asked. I have yet to see another company in South Africa giving the same type of service. Well done Gedore. You have won a customer for life.
