I had a loan with FNB but then lost my job. I was handed over to Maharaj Attorneys and that is when my nightmare began, the consultant there are rude to begin with and they don't wanna make arrangements unless with you agree to the premium they give to you which in my case was unaffordable, they once asked me makes an affidavit, bank statement and fax to them which I did but nothing fruitful came out of that as well. When you tell them you are unemployed they tell you that there is employment out there and if you applying for work you must get it, so I don't know if maybe they are expecting me to go or rob.

I am not refusing to pay my loans cos I know I am liable but I am sure there should be a way to make it affordable for me as I am unemployed. I even made them aware that even if my sister is helping me I cant ask her to pay R1 000 on just one account, it wont make sense to her at all. Can FNB do something about this please, get other attorneys cos surely there should be a way. This morning they told me that they are taking legal action cos I cant afford to pay R870, when I asked to pay at least R400 per month.
