MollywoodMaids abusive when told not to send SMSs

I used the Mollywood Maids service once years ago. They recently sent me about 3 spam SMSs.

Although they had no opt-out I replied STOP to the last one as is the standard for being removed from a list.

I was then told - by what was obviously a human and not an automatic system that I needed to provide my full name to be removed. I replied to please just remove the number.

They said that that was impossible so I replied with my full name, said it was actually illegal to make opting out so challenging and asked not to be contacted again.

They then sent me a series of abusive SMSs - claiming that I 'didn't have a life', that I was 'a chop', that I 'was a customer so they couldn't send me spam'.

I didn't reply because by that stage I realised that I was dealing with someone irrational - but quite frankly I'm disgusted by their abusive behaviour, their ignorance of the law, and their belief that because I used their service sometime in the past they can now treat me however they want.
