I was recently given a Kindle Touch as a birthday present (two weeks ago), since then I have been having endless problems with it. Firstly it wouldn't charge, then after speaking to a consultant I was advised that the power cable that it comes with doesn't really charge the device as much as it should and I should either purchase an adapter so it can be plugged into a wall socket OR use my iPhone/Blackberry/Samsung charger. That in itself was a shock. Why sell a product with a charger that isn't going to work properly in the first place? I used my cell phone charger and charged my Kindle Touch for 24 hours (as instructed by the consultant). Finally I was able to switch it on and register my account. Once I finished the registration it went off again (this was after only being on for 10 minutes). Again I used my cell phone charger to charge it for a further 24 hours and this time was able to switch it on to download a book. When I tried to actually read the book it went off again after about 10 minutes. I tried calling [URL Removed] for assistance and was placed on mute for about 10 minutes. Seems like [URL Removed] after sales service is non existant.
