Diaper straps missing

I've been using huggies dry comfort since my baby was born, and Ive always been very satisfied with the product. But now ive found at least 5 diapers in one packet where either the straps are missing, or the gel part of the nappy is hardend. like a hard (solid) piece of cotton wool. I cant use that on my baby, it will defnitely hurt him. Im very dissapoined, I feel like changing to Pampers... should I?
