Cell c account I closed nearly 2 years ago

I closed an account with Cell C 2 years ago, and today got an email CLAIMING they have been in contact with me. No mails, no letters, nothing from them, now I get a letter threatening a visit from the sheriff.

Attempted communication with them has resulted in nothing. Emails ignored, Phone calls either not answered, or someone that doesn't speak english, and NOT helpful at all. Have asked for a statement reflecting my "debt" and received nothing in return.

How can a company like this be allowed to do business, but the "government" can shut down Dettol
