I have been a Bonitas member since I started working in 1992, only breaking for a few years when I was in between jobs. In december 2013 I left my employment and I informed Bonitas of my changed mebership subs source and filled relevant forms authorising a debit order facility with my bank for direct payment. End of Jan someone from Medsch cveme called and acknowledged receipt of direct payment instructions, however requested that I make a direct deposit for my Feb subs since they did not process my instructions on time. I did and sent proof of payment. So when end of Feb came, I expected a debit order to go through, by the 04 March when it had not gone through, I emailed medscheme, asking when they were planning on debiting my account. On the 10th March I got an email informing me of my membership suspension due to non payment. Nothing was said about the debit order instruction and authorisation, no reference to my enquiry. on the 18th March I got another e-mail notifying me of my membership termination and a termination certificate enclosed. I called the contact number given, following a lenghty explanation to the consultant, she put me on hold until I hung up. No follow up done
