Yesterday I was admitted at brenthurst clinic in parktown for a theatre appointment for 7:00am. We arrived at 6:30am at the hospital and only got attended to at 10:00am. The admission staff are forever chatting amongst each other and extremely slow, no one will ask if you have been served. this is my 2nd admission at this hospital and I would like to say the reception and ward staff there is very unprofessional and too many, they love chatting and passing the buck amongst each other. I had to fight to get myself discharged while the Dr gave orders that I could leave when I was ready to for it wasn't a big operation. The food is served cold, your not attended to regularly, not even given pain medication, senior staff argue in front of patients, there's no welcome atmosphere at the hospital and when you start complaining they just put the complaint chart in front of you and leave. There's a huge problem with management in this hospital for they don't practice batho pele principals. The only good thing about it is charging your medical aid which I'm going to ask for copy and dispute where applicable. The only staff that was friendly is the theatre staff and my Dr. I will never recommend
