Declined Hospital Authorization

My child was admitted on the 7 January 2013 with an asthma attack. I joined the m/aid October 2013 and I did not disclose the condition of the child while joining the scheme because the child was not on asthma treatment for the past three years or had an attack for three years. On the forms there was no time frame in term of condition discloser so I assumed that it will be conditions within present or within a year. I call Sizwe authorization department twice on the 8 January and I was told that Elsie is dealing with the case and they will call me later for the response. I received the response after 15h00 that they will not cover the hospital bill. My consent is I have to settle the bill that was also caused by the respond delay because I could have arranged a transfer to a public hospital before 12h00 to avoid being billed for another day.
