Child refused treatment after Falling

Health & Medicine

07/01/2013 my daughter (12) got out of the swimming pool, went to the bathroom, where she slipped and hit her head against the entrance step of the shower. She was rushed to the Emergency Rooms at Dalview Clinic, as she was vomiting and very confused. (not on any reports written by the staff) When my husband got to the Emergency rooms, she was told to go into the treating rooms, but being very confused due to the blow on her head, she kept walking out of there with no supervision. Reception first wanted to open a file, where my husband was waiting, and as soon as they phoned our medical aid and were advised that we were on a 3 Months waiting period; they refused treatment on my child. On the reports faxed to me by the treating Dr, one of the staff members wrote down that the Dr saw her in this time which is also not true. An Emergency medical condition is a medical condition which is of sudden and unexpected onset that requires immediate medical or surgical treatment. How can treatment be refused on a child???
