Just do not care

My appendix burst the morning. I was in extreme pain but the staff did not seem to care. Everyone was very laid back and my mother first had to pay a few hundred Rand and fill in a bunch of papers before they even touched. I had to wait about an hour before they injected me with a painkiller and my mother had to run around to get the doctor just to stand up and give any attention to me. Eventually he stated the obvious after feeling my stomach a bit, which I knew 90 minutes before already: It is my appendix. Over a thousand Rand later, I was eventually admitted into hospital. This was also not the only instance I experienced this attitude. Exactly the same happened when I dislocated my shoulder two years before. One really feels like you have been dumped there. Contrasted to the excellent service I have received at the Life Little Company of Mary hospital.
