TWO YEAR OLD'S ECZEMA OR EAR INFECTION NOT COVERED

I recently attempted to move my daughter onto my Medical Aid with Momentum Health. Since she is still a baby (turning 2 in January) like most babies she has suffered with some eczema and had to have grommets installed.

Imagine my disgust when Momentum Health sent me a letter that my daughter is more than welcome to join the scheme (a fitting word) but only if I agree to the exclusion of eczema and middle ear infection! Neither of these conditions are chronic; they are quickly outgrown and they are common to most infants.

I can't believe that Momentum are willing to lose my retirement annuity as well as my medical aid contributions because they are too greedy to cover a child's rash and ear infection.

It is a joke and a disappointment.
