My 5 month old daughter from birth was throwing up and we were told that she has reflux. When she was 4 months old she started throwing up specks of blood. We took her to the PAED who referred her to the PAED Surgeon who said that we would need to do a Gastroscopy to see what is going on inside. She was admitted immediately and the scope done. We were told that by the PAED Surgeon he hadn't seen such a bad stomach in such a small child. We waited on tests and finally we were told that she had an allergy to Cow's Milk. During this time we continuously phoned discovery to ask if all would be covered and we were told that we wouldn't be fully covered because a gastroscopy can be done in a doctors surgery and that hospital admittance shouldn't be required. We couldn't understand how this could be relevant to a 4 month old baby. After going through numerous persons eventually Genevieve contacted me. She was so prompt and efficient in handling my query. She managed to get this cost waived for us and in turn helped us through a stressful patch. Instead of worrying about debts to pay we can concentrate on what is truly important and that is our baby daughter's Health. Thank you.
