I found the general manager, Mike, to be extremely unprofessional and rude. Not once did he meet us despite frequent daily requests over the duration of our 4-day stay. Upon reporting of an incident of negligence on the part of the management at aristo manor, the response was initially a submission of claim to the lodge's insurers, and upon subsequent findings that the claim was below excess and rejection of claim by insurers solely on this basis, there was a resulting denial of the series of events leading to the incident. Over and above this horrid behaviour, the lodge itself proved to be nicer on paper than in reality. The room was much smaller than it appeared per pics on the website, the towels were dirty i.e. had dust on them on day of arrival. Upon arrival (after stipulated check-in time), our room was not ready and we had to wait 30 mins before settling in; this after a very lengthy road trip! On day 2, we were locked out of the accommodation -> after attending a friends dinner event and arriving back at 10PM, we found the entry gate locked and were forced to wait in the cold for at least 15 minutes before they opened the door. Clearly no regard for the safety of guests!
