Whilst holidaying at Bonamanzi Game Reserve as a group of 4 women, our car was damaged to such an extent that it needed repairs before it could be driven. The team at Bonamanzi immediately sprang to our aid - towing our vehicle back to their property; having the repairs taken care of by their in-house mechanic; having their rangers lift us back-and-forth between our accommodation and main camp; and ensuring we were given meals once our food had run out. We were even invited to ride along to witness the darting and collaring of an elephant on the reserve as part of a conservation project. All of this was done with genuine warmth and concern, and ensured that we had lasting memories of a wonderful long weekend, as opposed to those of a complete disaster. This was especially important for the Australian friend we had invited to join us. Special mention must go to manager Tracy, mechanic Kassie, receptionist Londi, and of course their wonderful team of rangers.
