Samsung downloads an update of over 14GIG

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we as the public is continuously bullied and bulldozed by major brand names. This is my story:

I recently upgraded to a Samsung S3 Mini just over a month ago. On Saturday 6 April 2013, I got an sms from my service provider that I have exceeded my 3GIG CAP Night Owl CAP of 3GIG as well. When I looked at my statement it indicated that ALL of my data bundle has been depleted and over and above that I was left with a bill of over R 2500.00. To my horror I did further investigation and found that my March CAP of 3 GIG 3GIG night owl was also depleted and left also with an account to the tune of R 2600.00. I asked Vodacom to investigate and they told me that is was a Samsung device that did an update of over 7 GIGs on both 27 March 2013 and 4 April 2013.

What even baffled me more was the fact that I knew that all of my android / Samsung devices background data and auto updates are switched off at all times.

Subsequent to the above I have sold all of my Samsung devices to cover the damages. I have gone back to Blackberry and I am very disappointed in Samsung and I will never ever again support Samsung.
