Took my car to Benoni Car Radio to check problem with aircon. Spoke to the owner Tony who told me an amount of R395-00 to be paid for filling of gas, then only problem/s could be diagnosed, I would then be contacted with extra costs before work could commence. I left my car at 7.30 am yesterday. Was contacted by technician two an half hours later saying car was fixed. I asked if the heater was working and he replied yes. He gave me a quote over the phone of R1470-60 (after the work was done nog al). I did not have a problem with this. When I went to pick up the car the next morning and after paying, I noticed the heater was leaking. I immediately called Tony and showed him. He scolded the technician in front of me and instructed him to strip the car and fix everything at no extra cost to me? Tony phones me three hours later saying he cant get the steering off. I then asked him what must I do. He tells me he cannot do anything. I asked what about the money I paid, at least a partial re-imbursement would do. I was told I cannot be re-imbursed cos there was extra costs involved and I must fetch the car after he puts everything back. Why accept a job if you are incapable of doing it?
