I ordered a D800E Nikon camera body from the SA outlet on the web.
I was convinced to pay 50% and the balance COD.
Before delivery I was advised that they had ordered a D800E and 2 other lenses and that I should pay R5300 as import duty - (I ordered only a D800E in SA paid in SA and dealt only with people in SA? so I refused to pay this.)
I agreed after much arguement to pay the balance of the D800E to facilitate the delivery.
Gadget Ware then agreed to pay this amt.
Then I got a further notice from then courier company that I must pay R5100 to register as an importer? I refused to pay this.
Gadget ware Limited have now simply said that they will not refund and will not pay the R5100.
