Invalid/Illegal Warranty

Electronics and household app.

I bought a LED UA55C9000 TV at huge expense on 18/7/2011. Unfortunately the screen started flashing a green line across it in the last month. Fortunately I have a 3 years warranty and logged a repair. In the interim I have been told the TV can not be repaired and is no longer in manufacture. No one from SAMSUNG is taking responsibility for what to do next. I spoke to an Annabella at the call center who advised the dealer who supplied me should credit me. She must be ignorant of the term "WARRANTY". As I did not accept that a reputable company can distance themselves with such a pathetic response I insisted in speaking to management but she duly put the phone down in my ear. Can it be that SAMSUNG has no warranty process that complies to the CPA and that staff when questioned slams a phone down on you. Surely I am entitled to having the TV repaired or replaced. The SA public should be made aware of the fact that SAMSUNG has no honorable warranty. Why purchase anything SAMSUNG if this is what they do when their products fail. This case will probably follow the legal route but someone has to stand up and say we consumers has had enough of pathetic service in SA.
