UNISA online learning a joke

As I am signed up for two courses which are provided fully online this semester, I would like to note my opinion that I think the UNISA LMS system is a complete joke.

Elearning can be a stimulating and interesting experience and yet the current structure is akin to trying to dig for your tools in a kiddies sandbox. Its a complete mess.

It really is a pity as, through the forums, I can see both the lecturers and students are excited about the prospect and yet so little thought has been given to the usability and architecture of the system that every time I find myself participating on of these "online" courses, I get myself ready for a complete nightmare.

The fact that the UNISA server is so slow that I spend over 50% of my "study" time watching pages time out is ridiculous. The fact that this "system" results in my having 100's of random documents per course which could have been consolidated into one study guide is confusing. The fact that I have to read all the announcements and try access the learning material and frantically print this material and all the attachments before the website goes down again and I must follow the discussion forum to keep track is a disaster.
