Unisa
No response on query about validity of degree

I am currently a student at Unisa. I studied Psychology I to III through them and is currently busy with my Honors Degree in Psychology, after doing plenty of research about the validity of their degree for registration with the HPCSA, and they assured me that I would be able to register with the HPCSA and that their Bpsyc Hon Degree will be acknowledged.

When I contacted the HPCSA to find out about future options for registration with them, they informed me that they no longer accept Unisa's Bpsych Degrees and that I will have to complete my studies through another university in order to registrate with them.

Unisa never made any attempt to let me know that I am wasting my money and time with their degree, since it is no longer acknowledged by the HPCSA. I have sent them several emails and tried to contact them about this and have had no response for two weeks! I need to make important decisions about my future studies and time is running out!! They are still enrolling students for Psychology and their website clearly states that one can use their Psyc Degrees for professional purposes. If one cannot register with the HPCSA, one cannot practice as any type of counsellor etc.
