Principal at Caradale Primary Bad Service

My brother needs proof from Caradale Primary that he completed grade 8 at the school, he needs the proof to assist him with employment, however the principal at the school tells him the school only keeps records for 5years, however we contacted the education depart oh gosh what a nightmare, they told my mom the school must have records of him. the principal wants my brother to go to another school were one of the old teacher are currently teaching, what is that going to help.
