Poplars Restaurant
Extremely poor waiter service

We went to Polars Restaurant at noon today. I asked the waiter if it was possible to get a table at all. I even said: I know we are taking a chance, but if you have one that would be great. When I said we were looking for a table for 6 he rolled his eyes and sighed. Eventually saying: "You can have that one but you have to be out by 3." Not wanting to ruin our reunion get-together, we took the table and sat down. Although the restaurant was empty, his service was abrupt and rude throughout. When he poured the wine, he spilt all over the table cloth without as much as an 'I'm sorry'. He was sarcastic when asked questions about the menu and seemed in a hurry to get rid of us, even though there wasn't anything else for him to do. Some of the group refused to tip him at all, because he made the experience so unpleasant. We all agreed that if it wasn't for the chef's exceptional work in the food department, the afternoon would have been a disaster. His attitude should be of grave concern for the owners and managers, as we left with no intention of ever returning and I fear most of his customers would feel the same. I would appreciate feedback from Poplars in this regard. Thank you.
