Graduation

I have been calling UNISA graduations 012 429 4187 every week for the last two months. The response on each occasion "not to worry the faculty is still busy with verifications".

On Tuesday the 7th May i receive a fax from UNISA to submit outstanding documentation. I proceed to UNISA Durban offices in Wednesday the 8th May to submit the said documents along with the R400 fee. i was assured that i would receive communication before the end of the week, confirming a graduation date.By Wednesday the 15 May, i had still not received and communication and returned to UNISA offices.

I was then informed that there is a back log in terms of having my application approved for matriculation exemption and that i might miss the graduation.

I find this totally unacceptable as i have tried on numerous occasions to find out what the problem was. UNISA seem to be understaffed and are unable to meet their own deadlines.

After completing my final exam in December of 2012, UNISA has had 4 months to check if there are any outstanding documentation.

With a week left to the end of graduations i would appreciate a speedy resolution.
