Not Recommended for Compliance Certificates

We are in the process of selling our property and the attorneys recommended an electrician (Jan Nieu Volt) to issue our Compliance Certificate.

I phoned Jan to make an appointment and he made it very clear that he only works between 8am and 4pm, so we made the appointment at 3:30pm - which meant I had to leave work earlier (I get paid by the hour) to accommodate Jan.

On the day I phoned Jan to confirm our appointment. That afternoon I left work early and made sure that I was at home just before 3:30. At 3:45 Jan was still not there. When I phoned him it was clear that he completely forgot about our appointment! He eventually showed up at 4:30pm.

This is disgusting as he had unnecessarily cost me an hour of my income!

His workmanship needs attention as well - after they completed the job the left the wasted materials (wiring, cracked plug covers, etc.) lying on the floor. They had moved furniture around which they never bothered to move back after the job was done.

They were overcharging on most items, added items to the invoice that was not part of a typical COC and they did not do a clean job.

We warned.
