The supplied quoted me on the installlation of tiles in my house. however, he failed to come and instal the tiles. After many ups and downs trying to get the supplier to install the tiles, i decided to consult legal aid and the supplier was summoned to appear at the small claims court. The matter was heard at the small claims court on the 10th July 2013. However, the supplier never pitched. The judgment was in my favour and he was requested to pay back my deposit in his absentia. in many of my correspondences the supplier had promised to pay back the money, therefore i do not see the judgment being contested. And these correspondences were showed in court as prove. What the supplier did is basically from me. The only reason i paid in the deposit was because i had seen the job that the supplier has done and i was happy. And also because i did not buy the tiles, so i was paying for the stock to be purchased. this is very disappointing and makes one very sceptical when it comes to paying deposit when requested and even when this is necessary. i would advise people to be on a look out for suppliers like this one. they make promises they cannot keep.
