Make promises they don't intend keeping

When launch/arrival date of PS4 was announced and BT Games opened up their pre-order, my son pre-ordered and received his confirmation via e-mail. Subsequently called at BT Games to pay deposit and was advised that they had not yet received the amount of the deposit and they would e-mail him again once this came through. When he did not hear from them he called at the store only to be told "sorry but we are "out of stock on PS4" and don't have you down for pre-order". He has now lost out on the pre-order with Kalahari because he has been a loyal customer/supporter of pre-orders from BT Games for as long as I can remember. Think they have given him a totally "raw deal". Note that they are a company who doesn't respond, obviously because they know they don't give a flying toot about their word...
