Tipping petrol attendants

I have gone to several of the Engens in Cape Town and when I want to tip the petrol attendant on my card, I am unable to do so, because Engen is not able to facilitate this. I feel a strong SA brand, like Engen should be looking after there employees in this way as people hardly ever carry any change around anymore.
