Safety features saved their lives - Ford Fiesta

My 18 year old son and his friend were involved in a horrific car accident last Friday, 12 April, 4.30pm, on the highway just past the Grassmere toll plaza.
The car they were driving hit a piece of wood with nails in it, and the tyre blew, causing them to veer across the highway, hit the rain gutter, fly a couple of metres through the air, hit an embankment, land back on the road on the roof of the car, roll a couple of times and then flip onto the wheels.
Both of them walked away from the accident with cuts, bruises, black eyes and grazes - miraculously no major injuries!
The car they were driving was a Ford Fiesta 1400 Trend - which we are so impressed with! The airbags deployed, and the roof was barely dented. The car is a write-off (I only bought it 10 days previously), but the safety features definitely saved their lives! Even the paramedics were astounded that they were alive.
We would like to thank Ford for saving our children's lives - my car can be replaced, our children can't!
We will definitely be buying another Ford.
