I am in utter dismay at the treatment received by a company that I once revered as paragons of efficiency. I am convinced that the local operation at least is full of bumbling uncaring fools and that you would be better off posting your parcels with the SA Post Office and placing important documents in a bottle and tossing them in to the ocean. I paid for express shipping of urgent items from the UK. 2 weeks, 30 incidents on their next to useless "tracking" page and dozens of calls (most unreturned) I spotted this banner on their website: Complaint? Compliment? Go Straight to the top and tell Hennie Heymans, Country Manager DHL Express, South Africa. I filled in the form and true to DHL's interpretation of "Express" was emailed by Delia Bayman and then Nemalan Govender who made impressive noises but did NOTHING. They both ducked at 2pm or earlier on Friday afternoon despite knowing that I was desperate to receive my shipment. Looking forward to hearing what went wrong and you can be sure that I will update this post with an evaluation of the performance of Jo Goodman "Head of Customer Service". I DARE Hennie Heymans to call me or am I a bit to near to the bottom?
