Deliberately overlooking known issues?

I bought a 2007 Accord in 2009 2nd hand from Honda Sandton. Had it serviced over the past few years regularly by Honda Sandton, Honda Melrose and Honda Port Elizabeth. Every service I complain about the fact that my battery goes dead easily. Every time the response is "Yes your battery needs replacing". Now after so many times I had yet again another battery replaced by Supaquick this time (not the Honda Dealership) and was immediately told I had a faulty Alternator. Now that the car is out of its warranty period, service plan etc. Honda maintains they can do nothing about the fact that they overlooked the problem during all those services!
Not impressed... So because of the high cost for a new Alternator and labour time, I bought a second hand alternator taken from a brand new factory ordered engine. The dealer tells me: "You won't believe it - but I only sell these extra alternators to Accord drivers. Honda Accords have issues with their alternators". Known issue apparently...
Passing the buck, ignoring a known issue, whatever - Honda's level of service is unacceptable!
