Volkswagen
Missing Lock Nut

Cars & Transport

I took my wife's car to VW Strydom Park for its service, after receiving the ridicules quote for all the things that must "still" be done on top of the service, I kindly requested that only the service be done. Approximately 2 months later I took my wife's car elsewhere to have the brakes done for a of allot less,

Surprise the lock nut seems to have teleported out of the car? I take part responsibility should have known better and check after the service was done. I spoke to the service rep and was told that it was difficult to assign responsibility and that I would have to buy a new set of lock nuts for R881? I do not for one second think that VW has a Million plus individual lock nuts for each car as the usual story that gets spun to its clients. What a beautiful way to make money, just forget to replace the clients lock nuts?

I STRONGLY urge all VW owners to make sure that the lock nut is there before you leave the Service Centre. I shudder to think how many clients have been done in like this. I love VW just can't stand the rip off that comes along with it.
