Repeated bad service and attitude

Some time last year I tried to fuel up at the service station on a week day in the morning. Despite there being several attendants only a few of them were actually working with the rest basking in the sun a few pumps away. I asked the attendant who finally attended to me why they behaved that way and he said he had no control over it. I left it at that though vowed not to refuel there again.
Unfortunately on Tuesday I was left with no choice but to stop there as I was almost empty. The same thing happened with one attendant standing right next to the pump I was at and not bothering to attend to me. I asked him why and his response was "I have called someone to assist". I watched as the group of attendants grew (there were about five of them by then) with no one bothering to attend to me. I then decided to confront them and that did not get any of them to help but quickly turned into an exchange of unkind words instead. Finally one trainee who was not part of that group came to assist and refueled my car.
I am extremely disgusted that they carry on in that manner and I would rather be stuck without fuel than stop there again
