Agressive driver attempting an assult

I was driving on witkoppen road on friday when a fexex truck came up behind me at a very fast speed. As soon as the road opened up the driver switched lanes and sped past me. At the time the 2 right hand lanes were backing up with people trying to turn right into cedar road. The driver realized this too late and hit breaks skidding at which point he wanted to swerve back into my lane however I was in it which appeared to enrage this man. I carried on driving until the same guy pulled up next to me and began swearing non stop at me. I ignored it and carried on doing my thing, He then started shouting "its because you are white" "you white " he kept screaming. I then ignored him further. He then swerved in front of my car and stopped forcing me to hit breaks and i almost smashed straight into him. I thought this is where it would end, but NO, he then got out of his car with what appeared to be a metal object of sorts and began coming up to my window. His intentions were clear and thankfully was able to reverse and get out of harms way. I drove straight to the police station as i was scared for my life. I intend to seek legal advice as this constitutes assault many more
