My hubcap was taken when fitting a new tyre

I took my car into Hillcrest Tyre and Exhaust in order to have new tires fitted. During this time my hubcaps were removed in order to check the balancing of the tires. I left the premises and 2 days later noticed that a hubcap was missing from one of the tires that was rotated. I concluded that either the hubcap was not replaced or that it was not put on properly and had subsequently fallen off. I returned to Hillcrest Tyre and Exhaust on the Wednesday and reported the incident to the manger who took my details and said someone would be in contact with me on the Friday. It is now almost a week, and regardless of how trivial the matter may seem, no one has contacted me or bothered to look into the matter. Businesses should not undertake to contact you and then not respond. It is a matter of courtesy and principle that even the smallest incident should be properly seen to.
