I happened to rush to the garage like everyone yesterday since there was going to be price increase by midnight. I got there and asked the petrol attendent to fill up my tank. Half way through while he is filling and i was busy on the phone. I happened to look at the tank and to my suprize the price per liter was R12.06, already increase by 8pm. I was shocked, I asked the attendant to stop because what was on the screen was illegal. I asked him to call the manager. While he was making his way to the office, the guy next to me also noticed after paying that he has been robbed and notified the other lady. The guy whom he said he was a manager came and apologized before i opened my mouth. Obvously he was aware of this, maybe didnt expected anyone to pick this up. He told me some petatic excuse that the system has suddenly jump to that price. I work with systems. someone has to set the system to activate like that. system doesnt know when is the price increase, by what time or by how much unless someone sets it that way. I wonder how many people before me didn't pick this up.
