Williams Hunt
Refusing to fix my ca

Cars & Transport

I went to Williams Hunt Randburg in Jan 2013 to purchase a vehicle, Opel Corsa Essentia 2010 model. The car was drivable but after a week or 2, the stiring wheel was getting heavy at times. The problem did not persist and I therefor did not go back to the supplier. In Feb, I was involved in an accident on which my bumper and lights was my affected, I fixed my car at my own expense becase the excess was higher than the initial cost to fix it. Now recently since around Oct, my car started getting heavy again. I then took it through to Williams Hunt Midrand on the 17th Dec 2013. I was told that it is under warranty and the part required will come on the 20th, however, the installation will take place today (23rd Dec). I received a call this morning telling me that my car can not be fixed as it was involved in an accident, I have to pay R22000.00 to fix it and yet I am told that the affected part is 100% warranteed. I am failing to understand this as I feel that it is a contradiction on your part. How can a part be warranteed but I still must pay for it. My car has a service plan that I am still well within, why did it take you 7 days to figure out that you can't help me?
