I rented a vehicle on 4 November while on holiday in Cape Town. On a rainy day, on the way to Somerset West, I could see nothing out of the windscreen due to the wipers not being in a good working order. There was nowhere for me to turn off which is life threatening and very dangerous. Also the wheels seemed to have no grip on the road. After complaining to the Cape Town office, we were told that someone would contact us, which never happened. I eventually phoned the next day to complain and we were told that someone would contact us. Mr Adams informed us that the car had been tested and there was nothing wrong with the wipers but that he would test it himself and get back to us. This never happened. I requested that they do no simply put water on the windscreen but that they actually drive in the rain.

I expect to be compensated for this as I paid a lot of money for a car that was, in my eyes, not roadworthy.

Also they have charged me for petrol after filling the car up as agreed upon return.

I expect a solution to this otherwise I will take this further and I do not expect to be told there is nothing wrong with the car as I experienced with another person in the car.
