MISREPRESENTATION, DELAYS AND BROKEN PROMISES

Rothmans Autos sold me a car without disclosing serious accident damage to its moving parts. Days after I got it, I found a NOTE IN THE SERVICE BOOK reading "new engine fitted" and with one call uncovered a severe accident just months prior that required R96, 000 of repairs! WHY DIDN'T THEY BOTHER to investigate this and TELL ME?! I immediately asked to return the car, but THEY REFUSED. Under duress, they eventually agreed to meet me 9 weeks later and demanded a "usage fee" to take it back. When I pointed out that this was unfairly calculated in their favour and offered to pay a lower, more accurate amount, they REFUSED TO COMPROMISE and withdrew their offer without notice. Ian Rothman said "if there is anything wrong I will attend to it with no arguments", but when I sent a list of issues and requested help he said he was "not willing to consider" it! I've now spent THOUSANDS addressing issues with the brakes, bearings, wheels and rain leaks; quotes total OVER R21, 000!!! Rothmans DENY ANY LIABILITY for THEIR ROLE in the misrepresentation, and REFUSE TO MAKE AMENDS. Where are their ethics? I thought I'd chosen a dealership that knows their product, but I REGRET EVER TRUSTING THEM!
