Volkswagen
"New" Golf 6 - Sold a dummy

Cars & Transport

On the 02/08/2013 the "check engine light" appears on my golf 6, so I take the vehicle to Midbay Motors VW, after a few days I am told that the is a factory fault and that they require to "get/order a part" They provided me with a courtesy car. A few days later I am told that I need to return the car since VW SA need to give me a courtesy car as they need to handle this since its a factory fault. So I get a rented car that VW SA will pay for.

Two days ago we get a call from Budget rental demanding that the car be returned and threaten to charge me as they have my cc details and VW SA has instructed them to do such request. Yesterday I get call from Midbay suggesting that we should return the hired car and they will get a car for us today. I have not heard from them and further what's pathetic is that I have not gotten any feedback on when or what is going on with my car which I am still paying for monthly. This is a real inconvenience and VW is making it seem like they doing me a favour when its actually a poor quality car that was given to me and this is not the first factory fault with this car. Its almost as if I will be owning a 2nd hand car but paying for a new 1.
