Onboard GPS a total waste of money

I recently purchased a brand new Peugeot 508. It is a brilliant car and i cannot fault it at all. However, i also purchased the onboard GPS system that Peugeot supplies. What a waste of good money. The price is around R15000 for the unit, but it has very little functionality. It has limited information about South Africa and I cannot find basic and well known street addresses with the system. You can also not change the name of an entry so you have to be satisfied with a bunch of GPS coordinates that means nothing. It also only accepts one type of GPS entry and does not have the minutes and seconds entry. Although it shows traffic info on the display, this is not available in South Africa. Something that i was not made aware of at the time of the purchase.

I will strongly advise anyone that wants to purchase a Peugeot to do so as it is a great car, but DO NOT purchase the GPS system. You will do a lot better with a top of the range TOM TOM at only R3100. Five times cheaper and 100 times better.
