Dust Cover - Brand New Diesel I20

Cars & Transport

I have purchased a brand new Diesel I20 from Pinetown in April 2013. In May 2013 I noticed my car had an oil leak & booked the car into the PMB workshop for the servicing guys to please have a look @ it.
Once the guys had a look @ car I was told a piece of plastic was caught around the oil cap hence the leak. I was in desperate need for my car & approved the repair @ a cost of -R1300.00. When I later looked at the car I remembered that these days cars come standard with a "dust cover" which should help in pretending stones, plastic, etc getting stuck under your car. I then called the Hyundai call centre to enquire if my car had come standard with this cover, to which the lady said yes. I went back to the PMB workshop where the guys has told me that the car does not come with this cover. That might be so, but surely someone, be it the sales person or the workshop manager inform a customer that the car does not have this cover & it is advisable for a customer to purcahse such a cover to avoid damage to your engine. The call centre & the workshop should both speak the same langusge.
